In this photographic print of one of Damien Hirst's signature 'Medicine Cabinets', we are confronted with an assortment of medicines each with the power to cure or relieve pain. The title of the work alludes to a spiritual wasteland where salvation only seems to be found through chemical intervention. Conceptually these works draw on the philosophical questions surrounding the role of science and religion in our modern-day society.
