This softbound version with glossy stiff covers, with a detail of a spot painting (front, back and spine) was published in an unsigned edition of 1,750 (there was also a signed hardback version with plain blue cover, in an edition of 250). With 64 pages, and 31 (mainly colour) photographs on the printed pages and a transcribed interview between Damien Hirst and Sophie Calle.
This example, rare, especially with the inclusion of two (loose/tipped-in) large gelatin silver black and white photographs of two works ('Sometimes I avoid People' and 'The Acquired Inability to Escape'), each 8 x 10 inches, with applied labels to reverse of each, with work titles and exhibition details.
Additionally, and even rarer still, the original invitation to the Private View of the show (evening of Wednesday 11th December 1991) is also included - the cover with a photo of a work by Bruce Nauman, with a portrait of Damien Hirst on the inside cover (exhibitions by both artist's were on display concurrently).
A very scarce package of items from a significant moment in Damien Hirst's early career.Provenance
