This jacket, as well as numerous other objects (polaroids, personal possessions etc.) comes from the collection of Basquiat's last girlfriend, Kelle Inman, and formed part of a show of Basquiat-owned and gifted material held at Leadapron Gallery (Los Angeles, USA) in 2010 (Kelle Inman: Basquiat Polaroid & Memorabilia Collection 1987-1988).
