Screenprint in colours on wove paper. A homage to Andy Warhol - a very scarce print depicting a wall of Andy Warhol bust portraits, disappearing into infinity.
This example was gifted by the artist to the renowned fashion designer Halston directly. Bernstein was commissioned by Warhol to paint the glamorous celebrity covers for his Interview magazine - exuberant and flattering portraits of stars, based on photographs.
Signed and inscribed "Merry Xmas Richard Bernstein" lower edge ( red and black pen), this work is from the edition of 100 (there were also an unknown number of artist proofs), published by the artist.
