Designed and authored by Keith Haring, the main drawing reproduced on one side of the mailer envelope in part references the 'three wise monkeys' that, "see nothing, hear nothing, say nothing."
The complete mailer, offset printed, includes 3 double sided type written pages (each A4 size), the last of which includes a printed Keith Haring signature. Plus a return envelope to Keith Haring printed with a return address to 'ACT UP'. All housed in the larger envelope (6 x 9 inches) with reproduced Haring figures printed in red to both sides.
Keith Haring addresses his own HIV diagnosis at the beginning of the letter which was mailed out in late 1989 - he would succumb to AIDS-related complications and pass away a short time later on February 16th, 1990.Provenance
